Why do our adoption fees have these prices?
We often hear people say that our adoption fees are “too high.” That’s why we want to explain how these costs are calculated.
We do not make a profit from the adoptions. The adoption fee is solely intended to cover part of the veterinary costs and the mandatory documentation. We personally cover all expenses related to temporary foster care, food, care, and any necessary medical treatment before adoption.
Your kitten will be handed over with the following:
- Spaying: €90–110 (female)
- Neutering: approx. €45 (male)
- Blood test (FIV/FeLV): €33
- Microchip
- EU pet passport
- Rabies vaccination: €45–70
- Deworming and parasite treatment: approx. €30
Our adoption fees are:
- 🐱 Female: €225
- 🐱 Male: €185
Costs beyond our control:
- Transport: €110
- Official health certificate: €30
In addition, by the time your kitten arrives at your home, it will already have received almost all necessary medical care. Therefore, additional basic vaccinations are normally not required during the first year.
So please don’t just compare the final price; also look at everything that is included. Only then can you make a fair comparison and avoid comparing things that are not truly comparable.
